At UPMC in North Central Pa., spiritual care is an important part of our commitment to whole-person healing. We recognize that illness, hospitalization, and caregiving can bring about emotional and spiritual challenges. Our Spiritual Care team is here to support you —regardless of your faith, cultural background, or beliefs.
What We Offer
Our professional chaplains and trained volunteers provide:
- Advocacy for patients and families.
- Compassionate listening and emotional support.
- Guidance in times of grief, stress, or decision-making.
- Help navigating ethical or spiritual concerns.
- Prayer, blessings, and sacraments (as requested).
- Support for caregivers and clinical staff.
Accessing Spiritual Care
Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Chapel Information
Patients and families are welcome to use our chapels and meditation rooms at any time, day or night. Chapels are available for worship and meditation at all UPMC hospitals in north central Pa.
