UPMC Kane (formerly known as Kane Community Hospital) was founded in 1887 as The Woodside Cottage Hospital. Today, UPMC Kane is a 14-bed acute care hospital in Kane, Pa.
Supported by medical professionals from UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., our mission is to serve our patients and their families, our communities, and one another.
Our vision is to be recognized in the communities we serve as the provider of superior patient care and service. We also strive to provide access to nationally recognized specialty care through our affiliation with UPMC Hamot.

Serving the Community
UPMC Kane is a strong partner in the communities it serves. We are dedicated to the people of our community and providing them with the health care they need.
We support our community through:
- Holding flu shot clinics.
- Hosting an annual Ladies Night Out event focused on women’s health and breast cancer awareness.
- Hosting community fairs/expos.
- Hosting hundreds of free blood pressure clinics.
- Offering free women's health and wellness screens funded by businesses and groups throughout the community.
- Offering wellness screenings throughout the year, including vascular screening, bone density screens, mammography, and lung cancer screening.
- Partnering with local Rotary Clubs for multiphasic blood screenings.
- Supporting 12 community blood bank drives annually.
