UPMC Mercy and The Midwife Center for Birth and Women’s Health

The Midwife Center for Birth and Women’s Health — the nation’s largest freestanding birth center — has selected UPMC Mercy as its primary referral hospital. This service is available to women who prefer to give birth at a hospital or who may need possible medical support during delivery. The Center’s midwives have admitting privileges at UPMC Mercy, and they lead the care for their patients with the support of our doctors and nursing staff.
