WHAT: With Leap Year around the corner, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is celebrating with a hoppin’ nursery event with festive grasshopper hats hand-made by UPMC Magee nurse, Caitlin Pechin.
The event is just as meaningful as it is adorable. To spread the message of love and lasting friendship, special guests Anne Sutton and Alec Traub are donating 150 I Love You Like books to new parents at UPMC Magee.
Alec co-wrote the book with Anne’s late husband, Scott, Alec’s closest friend, after Scott’s cancer diagnosis. The book is dedicated to Scott’s young son and follows the story of a young grasshopper who repeatedly interrupts his work-bound dad with the important question, “How much do you love me?”
