WHAT: The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine’s 19th annual Dean’s Scholarship Ball will honor distinguished alumni and outstanding students.
WHY: Established in 2001, this black-tie event provides tuition support to deserving predoctoral students at Pitt’s School Dental Medicine. Scholarship recipients are selected by the dean in consultation with an alumni advisory committee.
Scholarship Recipients:
- Ashraff Buari, a graduate of Columbus State University
- Jessica Jye-Sy Ho, a graduate of the University of Maryland-College Park
Alumni Award Recipients:
- Brian Generalovich, D.M.D., dental medicine class of 1968, Distinguished Alumnus – Dental Medicine
- Richard Doerfler, D.M.D., dental medicine class of 1986, orthodontics class of 1989, anatomy and histology class of 1993, Distinguished Alumnus – Advanced Education
