WHAT: Members of the public are invited to visit more than 130 national and international exhibitors displaying the latest in wheeled mobility and assistive technology at the International Seating Symposium’s Community Day. This free event allows visitors to talk with suppliers and watch demonstrations of the latest advancements in wheelchair equipment.
WHY: 3.6 million people in the United States use a wheelchair as part of their daily living activities. The International Seating Symposium, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology Continuing Education Program (RSTCE), is the world’s largest educational wheeled mobility conference, and Community Day brings the newest technology to those who need it most.
