WHAT: The UPMC Passavant Green Team and the Passavant Hospital Foundation will host a free event for everyone to safely and securely dispose of unwanted documents while helping the environment. Any confidential information will be accepted, including bills, bank account information and all other paperwork. Attendees can watch the “Shred-it” vehicle destroy confidential information.
* Limit of 6 boxes per vehicle.
Last year’s event drew 320 cars, raised $190 for the foundation and shredded 17,500 pounds of paper.
WHY: UPMC is committed to helping employees, patients and community members protect private information, while also helping the environment.

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, April 6
