WHAT: The UPMC Liver Transplant Program will host an online Living-Donor Liver Transplant Town Hall to help educate patients with liver disease about living donation and how to find a living donor using the UPMC Living Donor Champion Program.
WHY: If you have been diagnosed with liver disease, a liver transplant may be a future treatment option for you. With more than 14,000 people on the waiting list, identifying a suitable living donor can help you receive a transplant sooner – getting you back to enjoying life with your family and loved ones.
WHO: This event is open to patients with liver disease, patients on the liver transplant waiting list, employers who offer health insurance coverage to their employees, and the family members, friends and caregivers of those waiting for a transplant.
