WHAT: Magee-Womens Research Institute and Foundation (MWRIF), in collaboration with the Jewish Healthcare Foundation and Pittsburgh Public Schools, will reveal the programming and keynote speaker for the inaugural Magee-Womens Research Summit and its $1 million Magee Prize, which will be awarded to a collaborative team of researchers from anywhere in the world who propose the best project in women’s health research.

The Summit, Oct. 9 and 10, 2018, will convene top scientists, researchers and corporate leaders focused on women’s health. The agenda will explore issues surrounding pregnancy, aging, and disease development and progression, and includes sessions on maternal mortality and women’s health advocacy. The Magee Prize winners will be selected based on innovative and collaborative research in disciplines, including personalized medicine, early human development and gender-based biology.
