WHAT: The Aging Institute of UPMC Senior Services and the University of Pittsburgh will host the Integrative Medicine Conference, educating health professionals and older adults about living longer and better lives through purposeful movement, and finding ways to increase or maintain mobility as we age.
WHY: To reduce the risks of functional limitations and mobility decline, potentially resulting in situations in which people become confined to their homes.

- Movement Matters: Wellness Through Purposeful Movement
Ronald Glick, M.D., associate professor of psychiatry and physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
- Let’s Keep it Together: Fascia Matters
David Lesondak, B.C.S.I., A.T.S.I., F.S.T., V.M.T., structural integrator and fascia specialist.
- Tai Chi Demonstration
David Clippinger, Ph.D., Still Mountain Tai Chi and Chi Kung.
- Interactive Sound Healing and Yoga session
Ian Morris, founder of ‘Listening to Smile’ production company.
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15.
