Andrew Thomas Has the Distinction of Being the First Baby Born in Pittsburgh in 2016
PITTSBURGH, JAN. 1, 2016 – Many ring in the New Year with champagne, but Erin Hamm and Michael Thomas celebrated by bringing a new life into the world. Andrew Thomas made his debut at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC at 12:05 a.m., crowning him the first Pittsburgh baby of the year.
The little boy weighs 8 pounds, 10 ounces and is 20 1/4 inches long. A few hours after Andrew was born, the nursing staff at Magee wheeled in a New Year’s baby package filled with baby goodies ranging from booties to bibs. The family is looking forward to spending more time with their newest bundle of joy.
