WHAT: This workshop will help identify potential environmental hazards in your home, review the potentially harmful ingredients found in household and personal care products, and provide tips for avoiding or eliminating risks.
Light refreshments will be served. There is no fee, but registration is required. Register online or call 1-800-533-UPMC.
WHY: Evidence suggests that chemical exposure may be linked to rising levels of chronic health problems and may impact respiratory and/or reproductive systems.
WHO: Michelle Naccarati-Chapkis, executive director, Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE), will discuss the hazards and health risks and answer questions.
WHE focuses on environmental exposures that impact human health, with the goal of protecting children where they live, learn and play.
