WHAT: The Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon medical team, led by UPMC, will be available to discuss their final preparations and provide media with a tour of the medical tent.
WHY: Media will have an opportunity to film and interview the medical experts regarding their preparations to provide care for runners and spectators during the Pittsburgh Marathon’s weekend of events. The medical team brings together nearly 400 health care professionals and volunteers from UPMC, city and county agencies and other organizations.
WHO:
- Ron Roth, M.D., chief of the UPMC Division of Emergency Medical Services and longtime Pittsburgh Marathon medical director.
- Aaron Mares, M.D., UPMC sports medicine physician and Pittsburgh Marathon assistant medical director.
WHEN: 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, May 4
WHERE: 2019 Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Medical Tent, Blvd. of the Allies and Stanwix Street parking lot.
