WHAT: Graduating students from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine will celebrate Match Day with faculty, family and friends. Students will learn their residency assignments for the following year at this annual event. Residency assignments will be presented by faculty and staff of the Pitt School of Medicine.
WHY: A majority of medical students across the country receive their residency assignments through the National Resident Matching Program, a private, not-for-profit organization that places graduating students in residency programs throughout the United States. Over the last several years, over 80 percent of Pitt students have been matched with one of their top three program choices.
WHO:
- 141 graduating Pitt medical students and their families and friends
- Pitt School of Medicine faculty and staff
WHEN: 12 p.m., Friday, March 18
