WHAT: UPMC St. Margaret and the St. Margaret Foundation will show their support for the fight against heart disease in women and help raise awareness of the Go Red for Women® campaign on Feb. 5, which is National Wear Red Day®.
This free event will feature:
• Screenings:
o Blood pressure
o Cholesterol*
o Glucose
• Ask the Expert
• Heart health information
• Risk factor guidelines
• Heart-healthy recipes
*9-hours fast recommended for cholesterol screening
Registration is not required. Parking will be validated.
WHY: According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 4 women die from heart disease in the United States. In recognition of American Heart Month, it is important to learn about the risk for heart disease and take action to fight it.
