UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh sits on 10 acres of Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville neighborhood. That's 1.5 million square feet of usable space. Input from doctors, nurses, and families was part of its design.
This was to ensure it meets the needs of pediatric health care teams and those they serve. We offer nine floors of inpatient and outpatient care areas. We also have a 20,000-square-foot family resource and activity center.
This center is one of the largest of its kind in the world. It includes an atrium, a chapel, and libraries. It also includes a healing garden and a business center for working parents.
