UPMC Infusion Services

UPMC Infusion Services offers outpatient infusion services to provide patients with a comfortable outpatient setting to receive infusion therapy. These outpatient services allow a patient to receive infusion therapy without hospitalization, restrictions on activity, or home IV therapy.

Our outpatient infusion centers are staffed by a highly experienced team of physicians and registered nurses. Our staff works with referring physicians to provide quality, personalized infusion care to ensure the patient maintains a normal routine with appointments available at convenient times as part of an overall continuum of care.

Patients can receive their IV therapies in a peaceful, pleasant environment and take advantage of several amenities including:

  • Recliner chairs
  • Snacks
  • Complimentary beverages
  • Cable television
  • Free Wi-Fi

Our Services

UPMC infusion centers offer outpatient services including:

  • Biologic therapy
  • Blood transfusions
  • Intravenous Immune Globulin (IVIG)
  • Hydration therapy
  • Subcutaneous (SQ) and intramuscular (IM) injection
  • Intravenous nutrition
  • Pain management
  • Administration of IV antibiotics and other medications

Therapy times vary based on the treatment. All therapies must be ordered by a doctor. Services are offered throughout the week at multiple locations. For more information or to schedule an appointment at a UPMC Outpatient Infusion Center, please contact that individual facility.
