BiographyDr. Kanter is professor of neurological surgery and director of the Minimally Invasive Spine and fellowship programs at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Kanter received his medical degree from the University of Vermont and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Virginia. He completed further subspecialty fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco and Auckland City Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. He has received several honors and awards, including being named among America’s Top Doctors and Pittsburgh’s Best Doctors, and receiving a Patients’ Choice Award.
