Prehospital Care Program

The UPMC Prehospital Care Program offers integrated protocols, policies, and procedures to public safety organizations who respond to medical emergencies.

The program:

Provides medical command for over 30 advanced life support (ALS) services
Co-authors and oversees the development of medical protocols
Offers continuing education to all EMS providers
Provides medical coverage for community events
Institutes quality improvement measures to continually improve patient care
