WHAT: “Taking Care of Your Eyes. Care and Treatment Through Preservation and Restoration” is a discussion for patients who have been diagnosed with diabetes. Topics will include diabetes and retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma and other diabetes-associated vision problems. 

 

A UPMC St. Margaret ophthalmologist will provide information about the current recommendations for eye screening and maintaining good eye health when diagnosed with diabetes. 

 

Registration is required and can be done by calling 412-784-5162. Parking will be validated and free light refreshments will be provided.

 

WHY: Diabetes can damage ones vision and many times not cause symptoms until it is severe.
