UPMC hospitals in central and eastern Pa. and New York are currently, and will remain, in-network for most Highmark commercial and Freedom Blue and Security Blue Medicare Advantage members. This includes the following hospitals:
On June 24, 2019, UPMC announced an agreement that provides most Highmark members with full, in-network access to all UPMC facilities and physicians in western Pa. The agreements regarding UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital have also been extended.
You should review your plan carefully, because Highmark may still offer some products that limit in-network access to all UPMC services.
