Cardiovascular Screenings and Community Education

To help our communities prevent cardiovascular disease, the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute formed the Community Outreach and Cardiovascular Health (COACH) Program to offer health awareness, education, and services.

COACH offers these heart-healthy resources:

For the referring physician community, the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute’s Clinical Biostatistics Core (HVI-CBC) supports cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery researchers by providing high-quality data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Cardiovascular Specialists in the Heart of Your Community

UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute community educators are available to speak to your school, religious, community, youth, parent, or professional group.

The Speakers Bureau offers presentations on the topics listed here and many other heart health topics:

  • Healthy eating and lifestyle
  • Heart disease prevention
  • Living well after a heart attack
  • Living with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
  • Living with heart failure
