Family Hospice, Part of UPMC, has been providing expert end-of-life care to patients and families for more than 30 years. Care is designed to ease the pain, symptoms, and stress of life-limiting illness. We honor an individual’s goals and values and support caregivers in the desire to provide the highest possible quality of life.
We provide care to patients in private homes, skilled nursing, assisted living and personal care residences, and hospitals.
Family Hospice physicians are board-certified experts in hospice and palliative medicine.
Family Hospice provides bereavement support to families under our care as well as community outreach for those experiencing loss. For more information about resources for those who are grieving, call 1-800-445-6262.
Volunteers are an important part of hospice care.
To begin the process, call Catherine Zimmerman-Moyer at 814-502-5948 or email zimmermancp@upmc.edu. We will match you with an opportunity that best fits your talents and interests.
Family Hospice relies on donor support to fund resources and programs for patients and families not covered by insurance as well as community outreach and educational initiatives.
