Our Newborn Medicine Program is based on three important principles of: superior clinical care, commitment to cutting-edge research, and exceptional medical education and training. And as an important part of our program, our state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) are equipped with specialized experts trained in the pediatric subspecialty of neonatology. UPMC has four NICUs around the region with a total of more than 140 beds, available to ensure the best care for your newborn. With 24-hour monitoring, our experts are on hand to provide advanced therapies for critically ill infants in a safe, healing environment.
