Endoscopy Services at UPMC in Central Pa.

At UPMC , we understand that endoscopic procedures and colonoscopies can be stressful. That’s why the UPMC endoscopy team in Central Pa. works hard to create a relaxing environment for these procedures. Your care and comfort are our top priorities.

An endoscopy is a nonsurgical procedure used to examine your digestive tract. Using an endoscope (a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it), your physician can view pictures of your digestive tract on a color TV monitor.

Endoscopies at UPMC are performed in a private endoscopy suite utilizing state-of-the art medical equipment; advanced technologies (including high-definition scopes and monitors) and specially trained and certified staff. Endoscope sterilization is performed using the strictest standards to ensure your safety and provide you with the best outcomes. The safety of our patients is our top concern.
