New Mom Support Groups at UPMC in Central Pa.

Having a baby is a life-changing experience that can seem overwhelming at times. Even if you have older children, you may find that you have questions or concerns about parenting or need a place where you can talk with other parents who are having similar experiences.

UPMC in Central Pa. offers several parenting classes and support groups to help you cope with the demands of parenthood. These groups meet regularly at several convenient locations.

New Mom Networks

An experienced member of our Womens and Children’s Services team will facilitate these meetings. All meetings are free. No older children please.

  • New Mom Network. For new mothers and their babies aged zero to eighteen months, meets virtually from 1 to 2:30 p.m. every Monday and every Tuesday. To register contact Betsy Newman at newmane2@upmc.edu.
  • Working Moms Network. For moms who work outside of the home and their babies; this meeting gathers virtually at 10 to 11:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. To register contact Betsy Newman at newmane2@upmc.edu.
