UPMC Hamot is pleased to welcome Dr. Cyril H. Wecht to Erie on Wednesday, April 23. Dr. Wecht will provide an inside look at famous forensic cases at 7 p.m. in H.O. Hirt Auditorium at the Blasco Library as part of UPMC Hamot’s annual Research Days, a program dedicated to advancing medical knowledge in our community.
A practicing forensic pathologist, attorney, and medical-legal consultant for the past 40 years, Dr. Wecht has been involved in thousands of high-profile cases. He will speak about the role of forensic science in famous cases including the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson, Ronald Goldman, and JonBenet Ramsey, as well as the mysteries surrounding the death of Mary Jo Kopechne at Chappaquiddick and the suicide of Vincent Foster.
