Kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by honoring the strong survivors in our community. This free event will include a brief ceremony, women’s health education and resources, and the countdown to Pink Perry Square! The fountain will remain pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

• Free to the public. No registration required.
• Meet UPMC Hamot Breast Center staff and physicians.
• Hear survivor stories.
• Light refreshments.

Give yourself the greatest gift! October is a great time to get your annual 3D mammogram (tomosynthesis). Women 40 and over who have not had a mammogram in the last year are eligible to participate in this event.

The MammoMarathon will include:

• Meet our therapy dogs from Therapy Dogs United.
• Refreshments.
• Women’s education.
• Basket raffle to benefit local breast charity.
• Free gift with screening mammogram.

Appointments preferred; walk-ins are welcome.

If you have health insurance, it will be billed for the screening mammogram. Women without health insurance are welcome and encouraged to come for a screening mammogram; assistance will be provided to cover the cost by the Sandra Lynn Martin (SLM) Breast Cancer Fund at Hamot Health Foundation.
