UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital offers a multi-disciplinary program for couples that have experienced repeated pregnancy losses. This approach offers the services of specialists in high-risk pregnancy management, genetics, and infertility to evaluate each case individually and to recommend a course of treatment.
The Pregnancy Safety Information Line serves as a resource for women and health professionals who have questions regarding the use of medications or exposures to environmental agents during pregnancy (or nursing). Most consultations are done over the phone and are free of charge. After the consultation, the physician will receive a letter reviewing the information that was discussed.
