UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital particularly was recognized for its specialized awareness and competency training related to inclusive care for LGBT individuals, their families, and their visitors. In developing these programs through collaboration with Human Resources and the Center for Engagement and Inclusion, Western Psychiatric established a workgroup and identified champions to consult with a variety of professionals and experts to ensure that information and training available provided the best and most up-to-date information to meet the needs of all employees.
