When you wake up after surgery, you’ll remain in recovery until you can breathe on your own. The doctor and nursing staff will determine when you can move to your hospital room.
It’s likely that you’ll need to stay in the hospital for two or more days. Your family and friends may bring any personal items you need once you’re awake and in your room.
