UPMC Senior Communities offer a wide array of programs and services to our residents. Helping them stay engaged, instead of aged, is important to the vitality of all of our communities.
One key part of that engagement is providing opportunities for our residents, their families and friends, and interested members of the community, to donate their time, ideas, and energy through our dynamic volunteer program.
We have many ways for you to get involved. Time commitments can be as little as two hours per month and flexible to accommodate most schedules.

Not all opportunities listed are available at all times. Opportunities will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.
Clerical volunteers will be responsible for filing, organizing, and working on various projects throughout the hospital. There are various departments throughout the facilities that always need clerical help.
Volunteers assist or lead scheduled group activities.
Volunteers can becoming a part of our Healing Notes program where they can play music for patients, families, and staff throughout our facilities.
Tasks as a transport volunteer may include:
Trained and certified Pet Therapy animals and their owners visit patients and staff throughout the facility. Our Pet Therapy dogs always bring a smile to everyone who sees them!
Student volunteer opportunities include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy.
