Annual event as a demonstration against hate and injustice. We join together and kneel for 9 minutes and 29 seconds in solidarity (the anniversary of George Floyd's death commemorating an awakening across the world about injustice). The purpose of this event is to unify to advocate and fight for justice for all vulnerable communities. In these challenging times, it is our power in numbers that helps replenish our will and strength to fight.
Annual GME-centered recruitment event series for interviewees to get to know UPMC GME and individual programs better. We discuss GME-sponsored opportunities and events that are culturally based, vital reasons why you should come here, and breakout sessions to interact with current faculty, fellows, and residents from various different departments/programs and identity backgrounds.
Rickquel “Rikki” Tripp, MD MPH CDR USN FAEMS is an associate professor of emergency medicine, EMS faculty, and EMS Medical Director. She has chaired the Networking Committee of the Physician Inclusion Council of Pitt and UPMC (PICUP) since 2017 and serves as the first Vice Chair of Belonging, Excellence, & Engagement (BEE) of UPMC Graduate Medical Education (GME) since 2020 and first Vice Chair Engagement & Social Impact (ESI) of Department of Emergency Medicine since 2021.
