New enrollees can qualify for up to $21,000 in tuition loan forgiveness with UPMC Schools of Nursing.

Our accelerated 16-month full time daylight program is offered each Fall.
Classroom lectures and clinical trainings are instructed in-person within our modern facilities up to 5 days per week.
Depending on your educational background, we may accept up to six transferrable college courses to reduce your academic schedule and tuition.
The tuition for UPMC Shadyside SON at UPMC Harrisburg is approximately $42,000 including associated fees. We accept federal financial aid, tuition assistance for UPMC employees, and much more.
UPMC Shadyside SON at UPMC Harrisburg has partnered with the University of Harrisburg to offer college level courses as a part of our curriculum plan. Curriculum plan (PDF)
Upon graduation, this partnership opens the door for graduates to continue their education at Harrisburg University by earning an RN-BSN degree.

In earning your Professional RN Diploma from one of our UPMC Schools of Nursing, you will have met all the necessary requirements to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX – RN) and move forward with Nursing Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
Other states that our UPMC Schools of Nursing graduates have sat for the NCLEX – RN include: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
