Founded in 1895, UPMC Jameson School of Nursing has a rich history of educating and preparing over 2,500 nurses to serve northwestern Pennsylvania.
Beginning in the Fall 2021, we’ve expanded our branch campus into the beautiful city of Erie, Pennsylvania. UPMC Jameson School of Nursing at UPMC Hamot is an integral part of UPMC Hamot healthcare system.
With hard work and dedication, our state-of-the-art facilities will foster a stimulating learning environment to transform you into a confident nursing professional or healthcare leader.

UPMC Jameson School of Nursing at UPMC Hamot has program options that will fast track your nursing career.
Our new facility offers both an accelerated 16-month traditional RN track and LPN-RN advanced track transition program.
Depending on your educational background we may accept up to six transferrable college courses.

Through our partnership, Gannon University will instruct your six general studies courses, while our highly skilled UPMC faculty will instruct your remaining nursing courses and clinical experiences.
This affiliation, opens the door for graduates to continue their education at Gannon through the RN-BSN track.
UPMC Jameson School of Nursing is approved through the PA State Board of Nursing.
The diploma nursing program at UPMC Jameson at the UPMC Jameson School of Nursing located in New Castle PA is accredited by the: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

In earning your Professional RN Diploma from one of our UPMC Schools of Nursing, you will have met all the necessary requirements to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX – RN) and move forward with Nursing Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
Other states that our UPMC Schools of Nursing graduates have sat for the NCLEX – RN include: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
