Amenities at UPMC Somerset

An ATM is located on the first floor of the hospital to the right of the registration desk at the Main Entrance.

Cafeteria

The cafeteria is located on the first floor of the hospital. It offers a wide variety of entrée choices, as well as side dishes, salads, desserts, and beverages.

Cafeteria hours — Monday through Friday.

• Breakfast — 7 to 9:30 a.m.
• Lunch  — 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Market C

Market C is a 24/7 food and beverage service located in the dining hall of the cafeteria on the first floor of the hospital.

Room service

UPMC Somerset offers At Your Request: Room Service Dining, a complimentary program offered seven days a week. Most items on the menu can be adapted to meet your special nutritional needs or requests. You, your nurses, or your visitors can place your order during the service hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. by dialing extension 5555. Your meal will arrive within 45 minutes.

If a family member or friend wishes to dine with you, we have guest trays that may be ordered at the same time as your meal. Guest trays are $5 for breakfast and $7 for lunch and dinner. Please plan to pay your meal service attendant upon delivery of your meal.

Vending Machines

Vending machines are in several areas throughout the hospital.  These areas are open 24 hours a day and offer a selection of snack foods and beverages.

Look for vending machines in these locations:

• Across from the “C” elevator on the second floor.
• The cafeteria on the ground floor.
• The Emergency Department waiting area.
• The 3A visitor’s lounge.
• The 3B visitor’s lounge.

The chapel at UPMC Somerset is located near the South Center Avenue entrance and is open upon request for prayer and reflection. If you know someone in need of prayer, our chapel offers an anonymous prayer request box for your convenience. If you prefer to see your own pastor during your hospital visit, UPMC Somerset encourages this support and welcomes their visits.

UPMC Somerset is committed to providing pastoral care for patients, families, and staff. Pastoral Care offers educational resources on hospice services, long-term care, stress management, and Bibles upon request.

UPMC Somerset’s hospital-based chaplain is not affiliated with a church but is solely dedicated to the ministry of health care. The chaplain is available for general hospital visits, prayer, and administration of the sacraments of baptism, communion, and support for terminal illness.

If you would like to speak with a chaplain, please tell any staff member or dial the hospital operator. The UPMC Somerset chaplain makes rounds daily Monday through Friday. To request pastoral care, please call 814-443-5140.

1. Go to “Wi-Fi” or “Network Connections” on your laptop or mobile device.
2. Choose “upmc-guest” to connect.
3. Once the Captive Wi-Fi screen appears, scroll down and press “Log In” to verify that you have read and accepted the Guest Internet Access Terms and Conditions.
