Teen birth rates in Pennsylvania are roughly 16 for every 1,000 teenagers age 15-19, which ranks PA 38th out of all the states. Mothers delivering babies with low birth weights in PA are approximately 8.2 out of every 1,000 deliveries, ranking PA tied for 24th of all states.

Because of our generous supporters, Human Life Services is also able to provide:free pregnancy testing, free obstetrical ultrasounds, confidential counseling about pregnancy options, prenatal and parenting education, maternity and baby clothes
• Nurse-Family Partnership
  First-time moms who are pregnant 28 weeks or less, meet income requirements, and live in a service area are eligible for free help from a personal nurse who will come to your home to offer advice, support and a good laugh when you need it most through your pregnancy and until your baby is 2 years old.
• Planned Parenthood
  Planned Parenthood is one of the nation’s leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care, and the nation’s largest provider of sex education. With or without insurance, you can always come to us for your health care.

  Our counselors will give you the information you need about pregnancy and your options, so you can make decisions that are right for you.
• Pressley Ridge Teen Pregnancy & Parenting Program
  Since 1832, Pressley Ridge, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, has helped to rebuild communities and families by providing innovative and diverse services for children, adults and families who are facing difficult challenges and complex situations.

• Women, Infants and Children (WIC) York County
  The Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children, also known as WIC, provides supplemental food and nutrition education for pregnant and breastfeeding women, mothers who have given birth within the past six months and children up to 5 years old.
• York County Cribs for Kids Program
  This program assists families in York who can not afford a safe place for their baby to sleep. The program provides a Pack N Play Crib to them with documentation from the family, and also provides educational materials regarding ‘safe sleeping’ and tips to protect your baby.
