For physicians who wish to advance their knowledge in our specialty, the University of Pittsburgh Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics, in the Division of General Internal Medicine, offers an intensive and rigorous clinical training fellowship.
Whether you plan to practice in a hospital, outpatient, or hospice environment, this fellowship will prepare you to meet the needs of your patients. We focus on symptom assessment and management, but we also stress the importance of communication among all parties — patients, families, and health care professionals.
For those interested in teaching, we also offer the opportunity to earn a certificate in medical education through the University of Pittsburgh.
