UPMC Mercy’s Level I Trauma Center has the medical expertise and resources to provide total care for every aspect of a traumatic injury — from prevention through rehabilitation. We have immediate access to all hospital specialties, subspecialties, and facilities that are critical to quality trauma care.
Every year, UPMC Mercy Trauma Center treats thousands of patients from throughout the tri-state region. Our 24/7 team of specialists includes:
- Around-the-clock attending trauma surgeons qualified to treat adults who sustain multiple injuries (such as trauma and burn) or whose complex injuries affect multiple systems of the body.
- Surgical critical care doctors with the advanced knowledge and skills to care for patients with acute and life-threatening conditions.
- A full complement of highly trained nurses, technicians, therapists, counselors, and other health care professionals.
