The Career Development Pathway (CDP) is a four-level progressive pathway established by a committee of UPMC in central Pa. nurses to promote career advancement for bedside registered nurses (RN).
Specifically, the CDP recognizes and rewards nurses who have expanded the depth and breadth of their clinical practice and adhere to established standards of nursing excellence.

To advance on the pathway, you must submit a portfolio describing your proficiency and participate in an interview with the CDP Committee. You will receive help from a CDP mentor throughout the process.
