COVID-19 Information
Dr. Priya Gopalan directs psychiatric consultations and liaison services at UPMC and is associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Gopalan describes how UPMC has built in-person and telemedicine consultations for inpatients that are interprofessional, which involved teaching a large number of faculty, residents, fellows, and medical students. Key problems addressed include prevention of depression and substance abuse as well as delirium and multicausal catatonia with respect to perinatal problems.
