The OCD Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC provides the following services:

The treatment of choice for children and adolescents with OCD is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with exposure response prevention (E/RP). We provide educational information about CBT with E/RP to children and adolescents and their families throughout treatment.

And, because Western Psychiatric is a teaching hospital, the program usually has two or three master's- or doctorate-level students who assist the therapists during group therapy sessions.
For children who are suffering from less severe OCD symptoms, outpatient therapy also is available.
