With the highest percentage of female fans in the NFL, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is proud to partner with the Pittsburgh Steelers in promoting women’s health and breast cancer awareness. Our partnership raises awareness for the Magee-Womens Cancer Program, part of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, and recognizes cancer survivors during the “Crucial Catch – Intercept Cancer” game held at Heinz Field in October.
Since 2012, Magee has teamed up with the Steelers to present a variety of annual women-only events, where we provide valuable health information by a women’s health expert from Magee-Womens Hospital.
Some of the activities at these events include:
Each person receives a gift bag filled with Magee and Steelers branded items!
Throughout the season, Magee sponsors the following events (activities vary by event and are subject to change):
Get a glimpse into a day at Steelers training camp! Women’s Training Camp is held at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, site of the Steelers offseason training camp.
Women attending Women’s Training Camp will enjoy a fun-filled day where they get to see what it’s like to be a Pittsburgh Steeler. They will also hear from an expert from Magee about women's health-related topics.
Enjoy a night out with your female friends and family at Ladies Night Out, held at Heinz Field. Hear from current players about their lives in the NFL and from a women's health expert.
Learn the X’s and O’s about the game of football in the same room as your favorite Steelers players! Steelers Women’s 202 is held at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex located in Pittsburgh. Attendees will also get to discuss important women's health information with an expert from Magee.
