The chaplains see patients by visiting on units, as well as by receiving referral requests from patients, family members, and staff.
Special volunteer Ministers of the Eucharist offer Communion to Catholic patients Sunday through Friday.
The human presence in the patient’s final hours will be provided by specially trained volunteers called “Compassionate Companions.” These volunteers will serve at the patient’s bedside reading, praying, or just providing a compassionate presence.
