Requesting Assistance

If you need anything during your stay, press the call button attached to your bed to signal the nurses’ station. You can speak to the nurse in a normal tone of voice through the intercom in your room. If you are in the bathroom and need assistance, press the call button on the bathroom wall, and a nurse will promptly come to your aid.


The Cyracom phone based translation system is available in 150 different languages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The phone allows for real-time communication between health care providers and patients. The interpreters are certified and familiar with medical terminology.

We also provide video interpretation services within several of our hospitals. Our health care professionals can place a video call - via computer, tablet or smartphone - to an experienced, medically certified interpreter in a variety of languages (including signed languages) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For the Hearing and Sight Impaired

Portable bedside phone and amplified telephones are available to assist the hearing and sight impaired. For more information, please ask your nursing staff or call the hospital operator by dialing “0.”

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found is maintained by our Security Services. It keeps records of all found items in our facility. Please report any missing items to your nursing staff or security immediately.

Mail and Flowers

Mail and packages will be delivered to you by a hospital volunteer. Please note that flowers are prohibited in Intensive Care units. Any mail received after your discharge will be forwarded to your home address.

Outgoing mail may be taken to the nursing station or given to your attending nurse. Postage stamps are available in the gift shop.

Fire Safety

As part of our ongoing fire safety program, fire drills are held regularly in various parts of our hospital campuses. During a drill, just follow the directions given by our staff. These instructions also apply in the event of an actual fire.
