Social Work and Support

Infertility touches all aspects of a person’s life. It may be difficult to balance the infertility treatment process with the rest of your life.

We can help you find this balance and cope with the emotional effects of infertility.

Counseling Sessions

Patients can receive individual, family, or group counseling sessions with licensed social workers.

This support may:

  • Validate your feelings, emotions, and concerns.
  • Give suggestions on dealing with stress.
  • Help in making a decision on how to proceed.
  • Help you understand the loss and grief you may feel.

We also can make referrals to community counselors or adoption professionals.

We require that you meet with a social worker if you need to use third party reproductive services, such as:

  • Donor sperm
  • Donor eggs
  • Donor embryos
  • Gestational carrier

This will help you understand all parts of the process and give you the opportunity to address any issues or concerns about what you are experiencing.

Monthly Support Group

A support group meets each month for patients and families. This is a helpful reminder that you are not alone in your concerns, and that there are other people going through similar experiences.

All support services are free and confidential.
