Artist: Shervone Neckles

Title: The Lunar Portal

At the entrance to UPMC Mercy Pavilion, Shervone Neckles created The Lunar Portal to invite visitors to experience the connection between the Earth and the Moon. The eight arches bring the phases of the Moon from the sky to the ground; the seemingly unreachable becomes more accessible.
