UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside ranks No. 1 in Pittsburgh and No. 2 in Pennsylvania by U.S. News for 2026-2027.


PITTSBURGH — UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside is the No. 1 hospital in the Pittsburgh metro area and the No. 2 in Pennsylvania in the 2026-2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings. The hospital also earned national rankings in 10 specialties.

In total, five UPMC hospitals across western and central Pennsylvania earned top regional, state and national recognition in this year’s rankings.
