With longer lasting effects (a year or more) than other fillers in certain anatomic areas, Radiesse is an FDA-approved approach to correcting facial wrinkles and folds. It stimulates new collagen growth and is absorbed naturally into the body over time.

Radiesse may be right for you if you want a longer-lasting solution to correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as:

  • “Smile lines”
  • “Marionette lines,” which run downward from the corners of the mouth
  • Oral commissure, (the corners of your mouth)
  • Pre-jowl sulcus (the area on either side of the chin)

Radiesse is injected with a fine needle into the treatment area. The procedure generally takes 15 to 20 minutes, and you can immediately resume normal activity. Radiesse contains lidocaine to reduce pain during injection.

Results are immediate and can last a year or more, but are not permanent. Side effects may include redness, bruising, and swelling. Most resolve within a few days.

Radiesse® is a registered trademark of BioForm Medical, Inc.
