Commonly used on the entire face, excluding the lips or around the eyes, Sculptra restores volume and fullness to correct problems such as:

  • Nasolabial folds ("smile lines")
  • Marionette lines (lines that frame the mouth)
  • Chin wrinkles

Sculptra thickens the skin, diminishes fine lines, and can stimulate collagen growth over time.

Sculptra is biocompatible, which means it will not harm your body. The main ingredient in Sculptra®, poly-L-lactic acid, has been used for many years in dissolvable stitches and medical implants. It has been used as a dermal filler since 1999.

Treatments are usually repeated an average of three times over a few months to achieve the desired amount of correction. Results appear gradually and typically last up to two years.

Side effects may include:

  • Discomfort
  • Redness
  • Bruising
  • Bleeding
  • Itching
  • Swelling in the treatment area

These typically resolve in a few days.

Sculptra® is a registered trademark of Aventis Pharmaceuticals Inc.
